Before I came to
Scott Sabolich Prosthetic & Research,
I was in a state of serious despair. I have a short residual limb,
small bones, and an extremely sensitive nerve area, all of which have
combined to make my case somewhat difficult. I had spent a year and
a half trying to get a prosthesis that didn’t cause me pain.
I was reaching the limit of my frustration and could tell my family
was suffering with the situation also. I had been praying for the
Lord to show me what to do. My husband had a friend in his Bible study
group who was involved in a pediatric prosthetic business. He called
Scott Sabolich Prosthetic & Research in Oklahoma, talked with
them about my situation, and asked them to call me about setting an
appointment.
My husband and I traveled to Oklahoma City from St. Louis, and on
the very first day we were there, they took a cast of my leg. By the
next day, they had a trial socket for me, and within a week, we headed
home for a trial weekend with my new prosthesis. It was the first
time I had walked normally since the amputation.
The expertise, devotion and sensitivity of the team at Scott Sabolich
have given us a chance for a normal life. We feel like our prayers
led us to them and we are eternally grateful. This experience has
helped us to help other people with their problems.
